Chris MacDonald's Memories of Elvis Concert Rockin Birthday Bash
with Special Guest Star D.J Fontana Elvis's Original Drummer
In celebration of what would have been Elvis Presley's 78th birthday, Chris MacDonald will share the story of “the King or Rock-n-roll” in a truly dynamic performance complete with costumes, backup singers, dancers, high-energy concert band and special guest star Rock-n-Roll hall of Famer D.J Fontana Elvis’s original drummer. With this newly updated national touring production, the show will include live performances with costume changes and songs representing the different stages of Elvis's incredible career including the 1950's, the Movies, the 1968 Comeback and the 1970's White Fringe Vegas Concerts. Chris has the honor of being the "Only tribute artist hired by Elvis Presley Enterprises to perform at Graceland's Heartbreak Hotel". Adding to the authenticity of this heartfelt tribute show, Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame member D.J. Fontana, "The Beat Behind The King" will be performing with Chris and his dynamic production band. D.J. played drums for Elvis on all of his early hits and television performances including the Steve Allen Show and Milton Berle Show including the infamous performance of Hound Dog. The performance was labeled as too suggestive by the sensors. Ed Sullivan suggested Elvis's next television performance be filmed only from the waist up forever establishing Elvis's place in pop culture and music history. Join us for this Rockin tribute celebrating the life and music of one of the greatest entertainers and pop culture icons of our time. For more info go to www.chriselvis.com
